Indian Army NCC Special Entry – Eligibility Criteria (Detailed)
The Indian Army is extremely strict regarding eligibility. A single discrepancy can lead to the cancellation of your candidature. Please read the following criteria carefully.
1. Nationality
A candidate must be an unmarried male or unmarried female and must be either: (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Nepal, or (iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit (As on 01 July 2026)

3. Educational Qualification

Follow these steps to ensure your application is submitted correctly on the official portal.
- Visit the official website: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (if not already registered).
- After registration, go to your Dashboard and click ‘Apply Online’.
- The system will display the ‘Officers Selection – Eligibility’ page. Enter your details to see the NCC Special Entry link. Click ‘Apply’.
- Fill in the Application Form: Personal details, Communication details, and Education details.
- Important: Enter your CGPA/Percentage carefully. Conversion formulas from your university must be followed.
